The balaclava had its breakthrough during lockdown in 2020 and everyone (read: a lot of people) had a go at knitting their own. It’s been three years and the balaclava is still a prominent part of street style looks. It keeps you warm and you don’t have to do your hair ;)

The sun might’ve been shining but it’s still cold out so it was expected to see the fashion elite show up to shows wearing great outerwear. The traditional wool coat is a staple, but this fashion week all eyes were on the shearling and leather pieces.
Shearling is a great material for the winter as it will for sure keep you warm and it’s a nice change from your standard wool coat. You can opt for a short jacket or a long coat, as long as the material is shearling you’ll be guaranteed to be in style.
Leather has never not been in style! This fashion week the go to leather item (besides bags of course) was the bomber jacket. It’s a new and fresh take on a leather jacket and will easily spice up any outfit. It’s leather but it’s not going to weigh you down and make you look super wintery!

The preferred silhouette on the streets of Copenhagen this past week was definitely large, especially when it came to bottoms. Wide legged jeans and cargo pants were a hit amongst the fashion weeks goers and we see why. You can dress them up with a nice top and a pair of pointed heels or you can dress them down with a jacket and sneakers. No matter what look you’re going for, you should consider adding a pair of big pants to your wardrobe this coming season.
Outer space has never felt closer with the streets of Copenhagen filled with people wearing metallics. It was mainly in the shape of jeans or suits, but it definitely made an impact. Silver and gold were of course two of the main shades of metallics but lilac also made a surprise appearance.
When it comes to colors, one thing’s for sure this season – you can choose whatever you like.
It’s never going to be fashion week without the color black. Both brown and black have always been two of the most common colors for winter and this season is no different.
Brown in particular has made quite the comeback. The color isn’t as harsh as traditional black and can provide another layer and depth to an outfit.
The fact that these two colors were prominent is also no surprise considering both shearling and leather were massive hits.

The streets weren’t all gloomy and decked out in black and brown however! Bright colors like green, pink, yellow and red also made their presence known in the shapes of puffer jackets, hats, boots and more. Some used the colors to spice up otherwise low-key outfits and some went all out in monochromatic outfits.
